Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to any and all patriots who come here to peruse my humble opinions.  Tis the season to be jolly, and while I feel quite at peace, there are a number of issues laying at the back of my brain, bubbling ever so slightly.

The 2020 election mess may never be resolved in a way I find satisfactory, but there will likely be fewer opportunities to screw us over as was done in November 2020.  The audit in Maricopa was never satisfactorily completed, because of the dirty deed done by Karen Fann in making a secret agreement with the county which meant we would never get the splunk logs and routers into the hands of qualified and trusted auditors.  And while tons of evidence has been turned over to the Attorney General of Arizona, Mr. Brnovitch seems to be more interested in his campaign for office than doing an investigation.  Folks accumulate outside his office over weekends to demand action to no avail.  Some action is occurring in Pima County, though and I’ll post updates on that once I know more.

Then there’s the COVID mess.  Omicron is a much milder version, and shouldn’t cause heartburn for the populace, but government has different ideas on that, and some cities and states are imposing horrendous mandates for vaccine passports as a requirement to enter food establishments, or other venues where folks gather, and demanding masking everywhere as well.  When this will end is anyones guess, of course.  I just pray, as I’m sure most will also do, that an end will happen sometime soon, because this is pure nonsense.  More sense in Louis Carroll’s classic.

Jabberwocky

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
      And the mome raths outgrabe.
“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
      The frumious Bandersnatch!”
He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree
      And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
      And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
      The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
      He went galumphing back.
“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
      He chortled in his joy.
’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
      And the mome raths outgrabe.
