Not that I’d have alot of use for it here on this site, but then again, it might come in handy on my home page… so I shall learn how to use it. OK, I get that the PAGE info is in the column on the right, and the block info is directly above.

And now, I’m just doing a simple text block, so see how it fits into this page. It seems to me one can put all sorts of stuff into one post, even if it seems to be out of context entirely, but that might make it interesting. And setting things off with different background colors. Hmmm.

Of course, I need to find some quotes, again. I’ve had pages of them saved, and wiped them out so I can experiment with this whole new system of editing and posting in wordpress.

Of course I messed that up. Inserting something messed up my pullquote, and then messed up my heading for my list…. Ugh. Editing is not easy!

Let’s see if I can place a block in this post any where I want it . And if I do, then can I place it in a different place?

I guess I’ll have to discover this for myself. I’m not convinced its really useful. For me, anyway. If I put enough text in here, then I’ll have some other place to put the pictures, right? But I’ve made it smaller so that should help. Maybe I need to crop it again to cut away the frame. Wonder if I can do that while in the program, and it’s already posted. Hmmm.

OK, I guess I just inserted a gallery.

Now I’m confused. The picture keeps changing it’s size….and I’m trying to put writing over it…like from a different block, but it’s not working for me. This is obviously going to be a learning experience! I really like the old editor which was predictable. Ugh. OK, that is placing an inline image….right in the middle of a word! OH. Easily fixed.

I suppose if I just stick to it, I will gt used to it, but I’m not sure I want to do that. Classic editor always worked well for me. Of course, placing blocks wherever one chooses is an inviting capability, but learning how to do it is really taking way too much time.

Now, that’s confusing. You create the text first, then choose colors, and then put in the graphic? This will take some time to learn, for sure.

This is just not so simple. I’ve never used this block editor before and I’m not sure I will keep it. I like the old classic editor and knew what I was doing when using it.
